Why The Knicks Can Be Dangerous

Mr favorite to come out of the Eastern Conference since the beginning of the year has been the Miami Heat. I'm not backing off of my pick, but if there is a team that can possibly scare the Heat it may come in the first round of the playoffs against the New York Knicks. Since Mike Woodson has taken over, the Knicks are 16-6 and finally are playing the way many thought they should be when the Big 3 of Carmelo, Stoudemire, and Chandler was established. I've always felt that Carmelo has been the best scorer in the NBA, despite what people say and he's been playing lights out. Need stats to prove it? Since the start of April Melo has been averaging 31 points and 7.4 rebounds, numbers don't lie. In the last matchup against the Heat Melo has showed that he can get his shot off on anybody often putting Battier on skates, as well as getting past Lebron. Believe me when I say nobody wants to see the Knicks in the playoffs. Woodson who is a defensive minded coach has the Knicks getting after it including his star player Melo. Shumpert has showed many why he is considered to be one of the best defenders in the NBA. With Chandler's presence in the middle, and Stoudemire bringing he usual double-double performance a night the Knicks can definitely scare the Heat, and maybe even pull the upset. If the Knicks are smart they will keep Woodson on board, because next year it definitely should be a three team race in the East with the Bulls, Heat and the emerging Knicks.
